Total Received to Date is $19,386.07.

To reach our $30,000 goal we must receive an additional $10,613.93.

Please pray with us that the hearts of more of God's people will be touched

and that this goal will be met if it is His Will.

We had a great rally!    We appreciate so much Pleasant Valley MBC and Pastor Wysocki for giving of

their time to host this annual event for the benefit of Oxford Baptist Institute.

As you can see, our receipt total is only slightly over half of what we need.

I know times are difficult and the devastating economy is affecting most all churches and individuals;

some more than others.

The storm may be big, but God is bigger than the storm.  He knows what we need.

Will you prayerfully consider giving toward our $30,000 goal.

We are truly grateful for those who have given thus far, and we are trusting God for the rest.

GREAT TIME ENJOYED DURING

2010 SCHOOL RALLY!

      First, we thank Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and Pastor Philip Wysocki for their hard work and sacrifice in order to host this year’s school rally.  What a wonderful time we enjoyed provided by such a gracious host.  The program was great and the fellowship was warm.  To see so many friends and family there was a blessing.   Thank you, Brother Stapleton, for delivering such a wonderful message.

      And then there was that fabulous meal!  Wow!  God bless all those who had a part in preparing and serving such a wonderful feast. 

      Special recognition go to Pastor Philip Wysocki, Brother Mike Smith, and Sister Freda Provence for their work preparing  and mailing the letters and posters in order to get the word out about this annual event. 

      Receipts thus far total $17,798.07.  This is slightly over half of what we need in order to reach our $30,000 goal.  For those of you who still want to send an offering, the address here at the school is 2885 South Lamar Blvd., Oxford, MS 38655.  Please make sure that your check is marked “2010 School Rally.” 

      The project that will be undertaken as soon as the funds are available is the updating of handicap facilities.  This is an update that has been needed for quite some time, and it will take every penny of the $30,000 (and maybe more) to complete the task. 

      We need your help and we’re not too proud to beg.  God knows what is required and He knows who can provide.  We pray your heart will be touched as you prayerfully consider this need. 

      Our thanks go out, as well, to all of the churches who have so graciously hosted the OBI Annual School Rally over the years. The first rally was held in 1985, hosted by Pinecrest Baptist Church in Corinth, MS.  Then OBI President Wayne Boyles and Pastor Carroll Kinley had a vision.  That vision and the funds it has generated have made possible many things that otherwise might not have been possible.  God’s people stepped up and we thank Him for you every day.                 --Oxford Baptist Institute

SPECIAL FRIEND PAYS US A VISIT!

   On Monday and Tuesday, March 15th and 16th, we were privileged to have with us Missionary Ernie

Hopper.  He preached in chapel on Tuesday and gave us an update

on his work in Africa.  

   It's always great to see Brother Hopper and to enjoy his

fellowship.   He and his family are always in need of your prayers as

they travel and serve here and abroad.  May their needs be met and

may God keep them safe.

We have postponed everything until next Monday and Tuesday.  Registration between 10:00 and 12:00.  Everyone on their own for lunch.  Conference beginning at 2:00 p.m.  The evening meal at 5:00 p.m.  Evening service at 7:00 p.m.   On Tuesday our faculty will speak beginning at 8:00 a.m. until noon. 

We regret that this has happened, but God always knows best, and He is always in control.

      Beginning at 2:00 p.m. on the 4th, faculty, student body, and guests will enjoy guest speakers Pastor Carroll Kinley (Union Hill MBC; Bradford, AR) and Pastor Philip Wysocki (Pleasant Valley MBC; Batesville, AR).  At the 5:00 o’clock hour a meal (prepared by the ladies of South Lamar) and warm fellowship will be enjoyed by everyone. This will be followed by an evening service at 7:00 p.m. with Brother Philip Wysocki.

     On Tuesday, beginning at 8:00 a.m. and ending at noon, all who are present will be blessed with messages from faculty members Charles Lamb, David Gregg, Marty Guidry, and Ron Provence. Again the theme of prominence will be “GETTING CLOSER TO JESUS.” 

     We urge all who are able; please take time out of your busy schedules to enjoy this time with us. We desire your fellowship and we know you will be blessed.
